HI THERE, I'M ASHLEY
I am a wife, a mama, attorney, certified fitness and nutrition specialist, and a certified prenatal & postpartum fitness specialist. It's taken me years of trial and error to get to where I am today, and create the relationship I have with myself, food, and exercise.
In college, I struggled with disordered eating and started a dangerous cycle of under eating, over exercising, and drinking all night only to repeat it all again. In law school, I was so consumed with studying and keeping up in my classes. I had routine and structure in every aspect of my life, except for fitness and nutrition. I would aimlessly scroll instagram, copy random workouts, and order whatever had the fastest delivery time on door dash - still wondering why I wasn't seeing results.
In 2019, I hired my own coach. I started religiously tracking macros and got really serious about training rather than just exercising. After working with my coach for over year and a half I solidified my deep love for movement and nutrition. For the first time in YEARS, I was consistently lifting weights, increasing my weights weekly, and fueling my body properly. I found freedom in consistency. I finally felt STRONG + CONFIDENT.
Fast forward to October 2021, I fell pregnant with my daughter - Kaya. Becoming a mama is easily my greatest accomplishment - but it didn't come without significant hardship. I had a very rocky pregnancy and a traumatic fourth trimester. I got diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and was hospitalized for 10 days due to uncontrolled blood pressure and high risk for seizure / stroke. My daughter spent 49 days in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and endured open heart surgery at 5 weeks old.
If I hadn't done all the hard work leading up to and throughout my pregnancy, I honestly don't know where I would be today. I want to show you that IT IS possible to achieve true food freedom, step out of your cyclical dieting mindset, lift heavy weights, and step into YOUR power.
